Sitting on high chair, stroller or carseat is a not a big deal for Melissa anymore; she's a big girl!

Melissa loves her brother Joey...and his cooking too.

Melissa loves cheerios, gold fish crackers and gerber snacks.

We took her to a pumpkin patch and she enjoyed watching the other kids running, the pumpkins and the horses.

Melissa is showing us more of herself each day. We are so blessed to be chosen as her parents. There are not enough words to express the joy and
fun we had since we got her.

Melissa is adjusting quite well and seems to be very happy.

I took Melissa to lunch at the Botanica Restaurant at Dongguan Sheraton hotel where we stay. I ordered an Indonesian Nasi Goreng (fried rice). I gave Melissa a piece of Krupuk (indonesian crackers) and guess what? She liked it. She has tasted her first Indonesian dish....
(FYI, Melissa would not eat any solid food other than a little congee/sometimes).

Here is little Miss Strawberry Shortcake. She likes her outfit (didn't try to take off her new hat) and the colorful buckets and new tambourine.

She is attracted to bright colors, especially to red, just like mommy. She's beginning to say Dadda and Mamma. This is such a thrilling and joyous time for us!

We are very much looking forward to traveling to China to pick up our little angel soon!

THE STORK FINALLY DROPPED IN...

We received our referral on Aug 28, 2006, Jim's biggest birthday present.

Introducing our daughter: Melissa Anne Raney (given name: Jin Dong Mei) from Guiping SWI, Guangxi Province, China.
Look at those chubby feet and her hair...we can't wait to meet her.
